Business Description:
MARINE ARTIST MARTY WILSON

Whether you are a local resident or only visiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast you will enjoy the wildlife and
marine works of Marty Wilson, a passionate Mississippi artist and Gulf Coast conservationist. An avid
fisherman, Marty grew up at his father’s fishing camp on point cadet in Biloxi. There he learned how to
trawl for shrimp and cast for specks. He specializes in scenes inspired by nature, a field in which he is
intimately familiar. His work personifies the “lady of the Gulf Coast” from her antebellum homes, to the
mystique of her barrier islands.
Marty Wilson loves nothing more than to fish and paint. He figured the best way to make a living was
to do just that. He feels “Every artist needs to paint what they know, and I’d like to think I know a
little something about fishing!” Much to the delight of all who appreciates his work, Marty has won
numerous awards, putting him in the spotlight both, locally and nationally.

“I was always taught, the pinnacle of life is to do what you love and love what you do, and if you can
make a living at it, I don’t think it can get any better than that.
I have to do my art as much as I have to breathe. It is that important to my existence, I would not know
how to live the rest of my life without it.” Marty Wilson
